A Source is a very special object, infused with pure galactic power complex enough to rewrite the codes by which all things live. Sources emanate a similar version of the code by which they were created, and by the editing of this code, observers of a Source's great power are given the gift of special Types.
The greatest of the Sources is the Spoonian Spoon of All Things, which performed two great actions: first, it created all other sources through its ability to rewrite galactic code. The second thing was to carry out a process called the Great Purification, which turned the state of having no Type into a Type in itself: Normal.
The very existence of almost all Types is owed to Sources, especially the Spoon. The only Types which do not emanate from a Source are Hounouran and Paktogran.
